The renowned New York City-based collectible and play doll manufacturer, Alexander Doll Co. (founded in 1923), has acquired the business assets of Ohio-based Lee Middleton Original Dolls (founded in 1989), also a manufacturer of collectible and play dolls. This new venture will now allow Alexander to reach a larger audience than it currently does. Lee Middleton Original Dolls will continue to operate under the same name.

Starting with founder Lee Middleton, the company is recognized by doll enthusiasts as an industry leader of collectible, baby and play dolls. Each year Middleton has introduced more than 100 new play and collectible dolls.
