With a dollmaking career that exceeded four decades, Dianna Effner accumulated an extensive doll collection, including one-of-a-kinds, samples, and limited editions. Effner’s family has decided to offer doll collectors the chance to acquire some of these treasures for their own collections via auction beginning Sept. 5, 2021.

The auctions will be held online at www.DiannaEffnerPrivateCollection.com. Auctions will begin and end on Sundays, with 10 to 20 dolls offered each week. Effner’s collection includes dolls that were created as samples for Expressions mold company, studio editions of porcelain and vinyl dolls, original prototypes of dolls created for such companies as Ashton-Drake Galleries, OOAK artist dolls, and more. There are porcelain, vinyl, BJDs, and even some cloth dolls.

Most of the collection are dolls that Effner sculpted, but there are also dolls from other artists that she admired. Each week, the site will post a preview of dolls to be auctioned the following week. Collectors are invited to sign up for the site’s email list to receive more information about the auctions.
