Twenty-six-year-old fashion designer Jason Wu, best known in the doll world as the mastermind behind Integrity Toys’ flamboyant, audacious line, Fashion Royalty, made national (and international) headlines when it was announced he designed Michelle Obama’s historically important inauguration gown.

He designed the white silk chiffon, off-the shoulder floor-length gown cascading with Swarovoski crystals with the First Lady in mind. And now, as is custom, the dress will reside in the Smithsonian’s inaugural gown collection.
