Halloween Events at the Doll Museum (Oct 4 through Nov 15)

Celebrate the spookiest season here at the doll, toy & miniatures museum! Join us for SPOOKYTOBER in Spencer, NC from Oct 4 to Nov 15, 2025!

Whether you love a good scare or like to keep things cute and crafty, we have a perfect Halloween event for you here at the museum. Our Spookytober celebration includes a huge selection of events in October and November. From family-friendly crafts to after-hours paranormal investigations, this will be a Halloween to remember here at the museum!

All Spookytober events take place at the NC Museum of Dolls, Toys & Miniatures located at 440 South Salisbury Avenue, Spencer, NC 28159

Event Schedule:

• Saturday, October 4: Salvador “Dolly” Art Workshop (1 pm to 3 pm)

  • Create your own doll-inspired artwork.
  • All ages, but some mature themes (spooky artwork).
  • Seating is limited, registration is required – click here.
  • Cost is $35 for non-members or $30 for museum members. Registration includes ALL materials plus admission to the museum.

• Saturday, October 11: It’s Alive! Franken-Doll Workshop (3 pm to 5 pm)

  • Create your own Frankenstein-inspired dolly creature.
  • All ages but beer & wine will be served, some mature themes.
  • Seating is limited, registration is required – click here.
  • Cost is $45 for non-members or $40 for museum members. Registration includes ALL materials, snacks & refreshments, and admission to the museum.

• Saturday, October 18: Happy Dolloween! (10 am to 4 pm)

  • It’s baaaack! Celebrate Dolloween here at the museum with a decorated museum experience, dolls on display, pumpkin decorating, hidden treats to find, snacks & refreshments, and more!
  • No online or advance registration is required.
  • All ages, family-friendly.
  • Included with your museum admission.

• Saturday, October 18: After-Hours Haunted Museum Tour (Adults Only)

  • After-hours tour of the museum led by Charlotte Area Paranormal Society.
  • 2 timeslots: 8 pm to 10 pm or 10:30 pm to 12:30 am

  • Adults only (18+)
  • Cost is $45 for non-members or $40 for museum members. Registration includes one of two timeslots and light refreshments.

• Friday, October 24: Tiny Halloween Friends Miniature Workshop (10 am to 4 pm)

  • Create two adorable Halloween trick-or-treaters with guidance from miniature artist Jan Sylsberry.
  • Cost is $40 for non-members or $35 for museum members. Registration includes ALL materials, snacks & refreshments, and admission to the museum.

• Saturday, October 25: Annual Miniature Luncheon (9:30 am to 3 pm)

  • …okay this one isn’t really a Halloween event, but it’s amazing!
  • A delicious lunch, friendship, presentations, prizes, and “mini-mart” shopping at this annual event celebrating the miniature community!
  • Located 10 mins from the museum at Trinity Oaks in Salisbury, NC.

• Saturday, November 15: “Gone to My Head” Doll Head Planter Workshop (1 pm to 5 pm)

  • Create your own doll head planter to take home at this autumn workshop.
  • All ages, family-friendly.

  • Cost is $45 for non-members or $40 for museum members. Registration includes ALL materials, snacks & refreshments, and admission to the museum.
