Uh, dolls are not really gay, folks LOL! The doll is what the child pretends it is and Tonner dolls (Andy is $180 folks) are not marketed as toys for kids anyhow. "Gown ups" already know if they are gay or not. I think buying kids toy guns is wrong, so I don't buy them & nobody forces me to nor forces you Bible bangers to buy a "gay doll". (Dolls are toys and do not really have sexual orientation, OK?) Pedophiles desire children & most of them are hetero and what do they have to do with a doll???? Let people imagine the doll is whatever they want and I'm pretty sure Tonner will not force you to buy one if you don't want one LOL. I do own this doll and he stands on a shelf w/ the rest of my dolls. I bought him because I liked him and, so far, he has not converted me from a hetero woman to a gay man & I am not afraid of him LOL. - Susan

For those of you who do not read your bible or fear God of course we seem like bigots. Will we be bigots when we stand against the 40 year old man who wants your 10 year old son? Because that's next. The bottom line is that homosexuality is a sin and NO, many of us do not, will not, support that. Get ready to start collection your pedophile dolls and your serial killer dolls because those are the next deviant lifestyles who will fight for their rights and win. - Kevin Tonner

I sympathise with those that are disturbed/concerned about this Gay doll that Tonner has come out with....and to state that thier comments have any thing to do with hate....is...simply not true. ...and ....come on.......what does sexual orientation have to do with our hobby!!?? and as far as a doll being a role model ! Let's get real ! Attention given to the gay life style.ect is causing more harm then good .....not the other way around ! I think the real issue here is money....Could be doll sales are falling...I am saddened.... and .....disappointed in Tonner...Have bought and admired his dolls for years...works of art...My last purchase is just that........ my last. - Lecanuck

Dimples 'n' sawdust: You are appalled at the idea of a gay doll? Well I am appalled at bigotry. Why shouldn't gay kids and adults have something they can relate to? How does this impact YOUR life? Not at all? Thought so. - Rita in Indy

Congrats on actually having a doll being labeled as GAY! As a gay doll collector with a doll collection worth over a quarter of a million dollars, I have never met such bigoted, rude, or classless people as Dimples 'n' Sawdust or susan in all my dealing with doll people who have always been wonderful! Apparently hate is everywhere! Shame on you! - gaycollector

Gee, almost ALL of my male dolls have been "gay" since I was a kid in the 60's! My Ken was always MUCH more interested in rugged GI Joe than Barbie...and there was another infamous gay fashion doll way back in the 70's...his name is "Gay Bob"...he was Ken's size...and he also was anatomically correct! I am lucky enough to own one! However, I am glad that Tonner is doing this...to the poor narrow-minded "doll lover" above who is appalled at this an cancelling her sunscription to Doll Magazine, if it were not for gay men, you probably would not have many dolls to enjoy in the first place...think about it... - Dennis

It's great that Tonner is offering a gay doll. It's past time that we accept each and every individual for who they are. In the fashion industry, many of our most innovative designers are gay. Thank you to Robert Tonner for "keeping it real". Kudos!!!!! - Barb

I'm sad for you "Dimples in Sawdust" for closing your mind to reality and the joy of others. Hopefully, no one will ever continually persecute you for being what you consider "normal", because everyone else has different ideas of what the definition of that word is. - Gwen

I am appalled at the idea of a gay doll! What is this world coming to?! I am disgusted and disappointed in this magazine and the contents you're about to subject us to, so much so that I will be canceling my subscription to the "DOLLS" magazine. - Dimples 'n' Sawdust

A gay doll is EXACTLY what we need!! He'll be on my list of dolls I want! What a sharp looking guy. I love gay men. They typically have better taste than most women do (and definitely know how to dress better). - Gwen

I applaud the idea of a gay doll, but I believe that Billy Boy came out with several male dolls in the eighties that were gay. - Lorie
