Helen Kish Wins the Lifetime Achievement Award

kish_headshot-lowresHelen Kish will be presented with Jones Publishing’s Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2010 Doll & Teddy Bear EXPO to be held in Winston-Salem, N.C., Oct. 1-3, 2010.

To receive the prestigious award considered the highest honor in the doll/teddy bear industries, prospective recipients need to have been working in the doll or teddy bear industry for 25 years and have been nominated by former award recipients.

“Helen Kish is known for her quality through the years, and she continues to raise the bar,” says owner of Jones Publishing and DOLLS publisher, Joe Jones. “When the list of nominees was presented to the former recipients, the decision to select Helen Kish was unanimous.”

I have been developing a presentation on "Helen Kish and Her Dolls" for my 4 doll clubs for the spring. Even though we have not met, I feel that I know her through her book and dolls. Helen's dolls ARE WORKS OF ART! I am happy that she is being presented this award, because I believe that she truly deserves it. Esther Kirdani
