I have been waiting for them to make these dolls. Several years ago I had read they were going to be produced and then I never saw another word. They could be so fun! The clothes and accessories would be amazing! Come on Robert! Push a little harder!~ Laura

I think this would be a great idea. I would definitely get all four and would love to have "Carrie" clothes as an extra. I could display them along side my Elizabeth Taylor, Audrey Hepburn and Cher dolls!
...
I wouldn't want to buy the "Sex and the City" dolls I would much rather have a really nice set of Desperate Housewives dolls. Madame Alexander made a set, but I didn't think they looked like the wives.

I have wanted dolls of these gals for a long time,I dont know if I could afford Tonner's version.Im still wishing for a Madonna doll.

Fo the 2008 Barbie National Convention we created a complete set of the 4 gals in the first Movie and inspired by the wedding scene. It was auctioned for 6000$ for charity and tons of collectors would love to have a doll size of them. if you wanna take a look at http://www.magia2000.com/gallery/donated/satc.html
and now for the second movie we have just created a new Sarah/ Carrie doll, but still waiting to introduce her in Cleveland. I truly hope Mattel or Tonner could create dolls like them, they are always on fashion and beautiful. ...
I think the dolls and the wardrobe choices would be gorgeous, but I don't think this will ever happen. The characters come with too much baggage. They are too raunchy and too wild. People don't want to buy these for their children. It will be confusing to marketers. They are really ADULT toys. Too, too sexy ladies.

Robert Tonner would be the perfect person to create dolls of the Sex and the City gals. Since Kim Cattrall already played a mannequin you'd think it would be an easy transition to doll form. Frankly, SJP always seemed a little "horsie" to me; she might be frightening reduced in scale. I read Stephanie Finnegan's blog every week, it's become my favorite part of the magazine!

Too bad there are problems getting the rights. I so want these dolls! And a Lady Gaga doll is another terrific idea. That would be even more fun.
...
I think the clothes would be the best part but now you have me wondering why one of the OOAK repainted Barbie dolls has not surfaced in the likeness of a Sarah, or one of the others, as Lady Gaga already has!
...
I think making these characters into dolls is a great idea. But they would also get lonely, so there'd have to be a "Mister Big", a "Steve" and a "Harry" doll. Not to mention the numerous boyfriends/lovers to accomodate Samantha. I don't think she would go for Ken.

Sarah Jessica Parker is a fashion goddess. She is an icon to anyone who has style and taste. Part of her mystique is how she WEARS her clothing. She knows how to move and to stand. I don't know if a doll can do that. Sarah is beautiful because of WHO she is, not only because of her clothes. I don't know if that inner beauty can be sculpted.
